The journey from Borth, Aberystwyth or Machynlleth directions, (travelling on A487) should take around 25 minutes, but allow much more time to check directions.
The following directions are from Borth or Aberystwth directions.
First enter Penrhyncoch into your Sat Nav. Once in Penrhyncoch, then enter Llyn Pendam Car Park, and cross reference the following directions
In Penrhyncoch, 50m before BP Garage turn right onto Pendam Mountain Road, (signposted Cwmerfyn, Pen-Bont-Rhydybeddau, Cwmsymlog, Hoel Mynydd Pendam, Pendam Mountain Road.
Follow this narrow road for 4.5 miles, it heads up into the mountains with breath taking views. DO NOT TURN OFF THIS ROAD.
After a junction on the right, with signposts for Ponterwyd and Aberystwyth/Penrhyncoch park either in the large lay by (right) or woodland car park (left). (There are lots of unsurfaced tracks, this is an actual surfaced road).
